On a rainy Saturday evening, a dozen of ARROJO Cosmetology students and two SoHo lead stylists, Stesha & Katie, headed down to the Industria to put their mark on NYFW. Port Zienna, Zabetta Couture, and Mouton Blanc, a newly emerging group of designers bursting onto the scene, made their Fashion Week debut with hair by ARROJO.
With over 35 models to style and back-to-back style changes, the students got a taste of a day in the life of a fashion stylist.
“There was one model who went from sleek, straight ponytail to textured top knot in less than 3 minutes,” says Monica, ARROJO Cosmetology student. There were 4 of us working on her hair for the change. The fast pace and the team work was exhilarating and nothing I had ever experienced before. It reminded me how lucky I am to be a part of the ARROJO network.”
Located in the prime area of New York City’s TriBeCa, ARROJO stylists and students get a wide range of extra-curricular opportunities from NYFW to TriBeCa Film Festival to the International Beauty Show.
"I feel so lucky to not only work as a stylist at ARROJO SoHo, but to get great opportunities like NYFW,” says Stesha, ARROJO Cosmetology alumni. “To be able to work with a team of students from my alma mater made it even more special. With 35 models to style & lots of change-overs, the team did an incredible job."
