This week we enjoyed more good times as the 38th full-time class of ARROJO Cosmetology Students made their leap into the professional ranks with a beautiful Graduation Presentation and Party, held in the stunning 75-seat theater at our remarkable new location in TriBeCa.
The class began their program last summer and now, as we embark on a new year, they are ready to fulfill their dreams.
During the 7-month curriculum the class studied all elements of hairdressing, from basic skills to advanced techniques on the forefront of fashion and beauty trends. Many of the practices taught, like razor cutting and hair painting, are ARROJO signature techniques that go beyond State requirements. They give our students skills synonymous with our world-renowned approach to modern and creative precision-based hairstyling; and a jump on the competition.
Appropriately, then, the theme of the presentation was all the elements of the hair, and how cutting, coloring, texturizing, and styling can create magical, eye-catching, and even life changing transformations.
Sherilyn Rozar, lead educator for the group, nurtured the students through every stage of the program, culminating with the busy facilitation of Graduation Day. "It’s been a really exciting and inspiring journey to watch Class 38 come in as students and leave as hairdressers,” she said after the show.
At the close, each Graduate was presented with their hard-earned Graduation Certificate, while Kelley Brandon took our special awards for Highest GPA and Highest Retail, while the Best Attendance award went to Claudia Coy. As we espouse the virtues of continued learning, each of these prizes gives the recipient a $350 gift certificate for continued education at ARROJO Advanced Academy.
Congratulations to Class 38! May all your hairdressing dreams come true. . .
