Let’s hear it for Class 16, the newest graduates from ARROJO Cosmetology School!
The Graduation Presentation from Class 16 was the culmination of seven months of hard work to master new skills. The students proved their resilience through the study and practice of the foundations of cosmetology: hair cutting, coloring, and styling, health and safety, product knowledge, makeup, and client consultations.
Each student presented one complete head-to-toe look to demonstrate his or her styling skills. It didn’t take long to see that those skills went far beyond a basic education. The creativity and precision of each cut and color emphasized the students’ mastery of advanced techniques.
The theme for Class 16’s Graduation was “Dreams.” Set to a rocking soundtrack, the catwalk presentation impressed a room packed with family, friends, and fellow students and staff members.
As their models took to the runway with ease, each student reflected on the fulfillment of their dream. Whether they desire to be a master haircutter, colorist, editorial stylist or platform artist, the students of Class 16 spoke with confidence about their ability to achieve their goals.
After heartfelt speeches by Class 16’s educator, Laura, and the Class Valedictorian, Amy Degregorio, it was time for Nick Arrojo to take the floor. There were so many tears that he passed around a box of tissues before closing the ceremony.
“This is the start of your professional cosmetology career. Whatever path you take, whatever dreams and ambitions you want to make real, remember that continued education is what will sustain you. Focus on improving your work every day and lasting success, a prosperous and rewarding career, will never be far away. Think big, never stop learning, and all of your dreams will come true,” he said.
