ARROJO Cosmetology Class 19 went from students to stylists as they became the latest class to graduate from our inspirational, boutique beauty school.
Our group of newly minted stylists, guided by their main educator Laura Martin, also had a unique opportunity to spend one session a week with Nick Arrojo. Nick started his class with a solid foundation, teaching lessons on consultation skills and effective communication. He spent individual time with each student during hands-on workshops, guiding them through classic haircuts and advanced razor techniques.
The result of one-on-one time spent with Nick was clearly displayed in the class’s graduation presentation. The theme for the event was “Black and White.” Each student presented a model with a head-to-toe makeover, revealing new skills in haircutting, color, styling and makeup application. The models were dressed in black and white to represent the classic, precision-based methods learned on the course with a surprise splash of color designed to show off each student’s creativity.
After the model presentation, Laura took the floor to reflect on her students’ success. “There are few moments in life when you get to pause and appreciate your own accomplishments,” she said. “This is one of those moments; take a breath, look around and feel the power of this achievement.”
This elite class of students made an obvious impression on family and friends invited to the event, their educators, and Nick. Speaking to the class, Nick expressed his admiration for their hard work and determination.
“This is not the end, but the beginning of your career. Work hard, dream big, and all your wishes will come true. I wish you the best of luck.”
