One of the greatest assets to being a student at ARROJO Cosmetology is the ability to interact with and learn from some of the best in the hairdressing field. Being surrounded and encouraged by master stylists inspires you to be the best at your craft and to always keep learning.
Throughout the month of December students have had the chance to learn from, see demonstrations, and have guided client sessions with Nick Arrojo and Master Stylists Gerard Scarpaci and Carmel Lawless. Having the opportunity to be surrounded by talent like this has helped cosmetology students grow and try more advanced techniques than most people just starting out their career in cosmetology.
Earlier in the month Gerard Scarpaci led two days of client sessions that were not only a special time for the students, but a treat for clients to experience a master stylist overseeing haircuts in the student salon. Students were able to put to work brand new techniques with hands on encouraging supervision. As one of our clients wrote,
“I was in for a treat because a Master Haircutter was going to be supervising the students. That was an understatement. I was so struck by all the thought and care put into it”
School wide demonstrations have always been a part of the Arrojo Cosmetology program but the sheer amount we have had this month has motivated our students into where they can go with their careers and that anything is attainable.
In the latest demonstration Carmel Lawless described education after cosmetology school, the apprenticeship program in ARROJO Studio, and what steps to take to get to where you want to be in your career.
Nick Arrojo demonstrated his signature fluid like razor cutting and spoke about the craft of hairdressing, how to elevate the industry, and that hard work will make you one of the best in the business.
December has been an exciting month and we are enthusiastic about what 2015 will bring. Interested in a career in cosmetology? Want to join in all the amazing things happening here?
